Project Engineer (12 month contract)

Responsibilities:

• Project Engineering: Planning and realization of small to medium-sized technical projects (< 150 million CHF) in all phases (evaluation, basic and detailed planning, piloting, implementation of investment projects, and optimization of ongoing systems) for Visp.
• Project Management: Responsible for costs, timelines, and functionality for assigned projects and tasks. Project monitoring and reporting according to the “Capital Project Planning and Execution” process (Group-25). Engineering and qualification (cGMP) for the EI&C part of projects.
• Ensures high availability of these installations and is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and laws.
• Collaboration with other departments (Process Engineering, Operations, Plant Engineering).
• On-call service.
• Project work on new technologies and applications, such as aseptic single-use applications in biotechnology.
• Leadership of subordinate EI&C engineers and planners in projects.
• Budget creation and responsibility for project budgets.
• Contribution and/or leadership in assigned areas of expertise.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Experience in EI&C engineering.
• Questions the status quo and looks for opportunities to improve within and beyond their area of responsibility.
• Experience in leading small projects.
• Interest in electronics, fine mechanics, and computer science.
• Awareness of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice).
