We are seeking exceptional Design Engineer with medical and scientific product development experience to join a successful and dynamic technical team. Highly competitive salary. The individual who secures this position will actively contribute to the development of inventive designs, guiding them through the entire lifecycle from conceptualization to production. This entails the enhancement of concepts, employing effective styling techniques to captivate our customers, and optimizing manufacturability and design efficiency. Drawing upon prior experience in a comparable role, you will embody the characteristics of a self-starter, adept at working independently and collaboratively within a small team. Recognizing that each team member's input is indispensable to the clients triumph, your proactive approach and collaborative spirit will be instrumental in achieving our collective goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spearheading the design and development of specialized products.
  • Iterating on concepts, emphasizing styling, functionality, and enhancing manufacturability and design efficiency.
  • Conducting prototype building, testing, field trials, and problem-solving, coupled with meticulous validation and risk management. Utilizing 3D printing and surface modeling techniques.
  • Presenting creative ideas and designs through diverse media, leveraging tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and rendering software.

Vacancy Notice

  • Collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams to elevate the aesthetic design of products, ensuring consistent brand excellence for finished products.
  • Generating technical drawings for tool makers, fabricators, suppliers, and creating CAD models.

Key Requirements  

  • Possess an established background in product design, ideally holding a degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Previous experience in a comparable role within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability as an experienced engineer, with a natural inclination for seeking improvements and innovative technical solutions.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and adaptable with resilience in high-pressure situations. Logical thinking skills complemented by creative flair are highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD Software, preferably SolidWorks. Experience in FEA analysis is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Injection Moulding disciplines; qualification (or equivalent experience) in Polymer Processing and/or Mould Design is desirable but not essential.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations and quality systems is desirable but not essential.
